We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to operate a large stationary/mobile crane in an active metal recycling yard. This role involves using a crane to load and unload scrap metal, sort materials, and support daily recycling operations.
We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to operate a large stationary/mobile crane in an active metal recycling yard. This role involves using a crane to load and unload scrap metal, sort materials, and support daily recycling operations.
This is a hands-on, industrial position and is not entry-level. Applicants must have prior experience operating heavy equipment or cranes in a production environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operate a crane to move, sort, and load scrap metal safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers using the crane.
- Stage and position materials throughout the recycling yard.
- Perform daily inspections and basic preventive maintenance on the crane.
- Communicate with ground personnel to ensure safe, coordinated lifts.
- Follow all safety rules, OSHA requirements, and company policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience operating a crane or similar heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort around large machinery.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.

- Not a warehouse, forklift, or production-line position.
- Not a training or entry-level role.
- Not an office or indoor job.
